Hello everyone and welcome to my blog. For this course my aim is to be able to use this digital tool as a transformer to my creativity...to be able to transfer my inspirtations, and ideas as fluidly as possible into reality...Design is a process, and this blog shall communicate this as clearly as possible, with the result being a understandable vision of my thought process...

These first initial ideas of the blog are illistrated in my V Log...the idea that simply being on the net is using almost all the senses of design, but the most used is probably the most suprising.....

I call it "eye of design"

Welcome to the world and vision of PersonalSat. A blog based interactive initiative designed to provide design solutions through a digital interface. The main focus of PersonalSat. design is being able to feed an unlimited supply of information to you, by scanning the area around you for any other spyware or unseen devices that go un-noticed by the human eye.In a world of increasing uncertainty in our surroundings it is comforting to know there is a product coming not from a large corporate organisation, but from one of you..... One of you that is scared about the lack of security and privacy we are now faced with in this modern world…

Im Sarah Croft, a BA/BDes student half way through my degree at Victoria University.

PersonalSat was a product I designed to mount on any flat surface, which was then able to protrude enough from a wall to detect any information in the vicinity of one hundred meters from itself. It was designed in the Victoria University Course IDDN 201. Which started its life as an abstact idea. Born out of pure form of limited materials.

Of course im playing on the fact that having a personal satellite could be a reality...The design at present is only at a conceptual stage. But hey, im allowed to dream...

My daily life is orientated between 2 different campusses, and home...These images show the broken up static nature of this routine trip, broken up by the city and its obsticles.....
Here are a handful of inspirational blogsites to help keep sparking new ideas within my own blog design...

And my favourite/most appropriate three blogs are...
one....

two....

three...

Application of Inspiration:How to sum up in 100 words...?
Well one of the main reasons these particular blogs appealed to me was because they seem to get the balance right.. I have observed that there is a fine line between having an exciting, funky origional website, AND detracting the main focus from the actual design work...
These blogs enhance and reflect the key ideas and themes of the design. Truthfully representing the designer at hand.
Afterall, this is the most important tool of the blogsite, to represent and promote the individual, or design company, and these blogsites successfully do this by portraying the designer feel and vibe.Through this research I have decided to keep my blogsite very simple, with an emphasis on the userbility of the site. A minimalist feel that is clean and effective..
I have found great satisfaction from veiwing my peers blogs...I just hope me leaving a small nugget of appreciation( in the form of a comment) brought them as much joy!
congratulations all of you:)
